Privacy Policy
In short: your picture-notes stay on your iPhone. NoteIt has no account and no server, and the developer never receives your photos, videos or notes. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to deliver them, as described below.
Your notes, photos and videos
- Everything you create in NoteIt (picture-notes, the photos and videos in them, tags, folders and snippets) is stored only in NoteIt's private storage on your device.
- When you add a photo or video, NoteIt opens your photo library so you can choose it, then keeps its own copy. It doesn't read or upload anything else in your library.
- None of it is sent to the developer or to anyone else. NoteIt has no sign-in, cloud sync or analytics.
- Deleting NoteIt deletes this data from your device. Your iPhone's iCloud or computer backups may still include it, under Apple's backup settings.
Advertising
NoteIt is free and shows ads using Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To deliver, measure and protect those ads, Google may collect:
- device identifiers: the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, and otherwise an identifier shared only between apps from the same developer
- your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location
- device and app information, such as the device model, iOS version and language
- how you interact with ads, and diagnostic and performance data about them
Ads are never based on your notes, photos or videos, which never leave your device.
Before the first ad loads, iOS asks whether NoteIt may track you. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, Google doesn't receive your advertising identifier and ads aren't personalised with it. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Where the law requires it, you're also asked for consent before your data is used for ads.
Ad content in NoteIt is limited to ads suitable for all ages.
Google's use of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Purchases
This version of NoteIt has no in-app purchases. If purchases are added later, this policy will be updated before they go on sale.
Children
NoteIt isn't directed at children under 13, and the developer doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Turn tracking off for NoteIt in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Delete a picture-note inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
- For data Google holds, use the controls described in Google's privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
